Connect K9 Utah Professional Dog Training's impact is felt not just in well-trained dogs, but in happier homes where owners can truly enjoy life with their pets.

Dogs at the Heart of Connect K9 Utah

When you talk with Rossi Dengler-Forman, one thing becomes clear very quickly: dog training is her and her husband’s passion. It’s that deep understanding, patience, and care—not only for dogs, but for the people who love them.

Rossi and her husband bring decades of experience to Grantsville, and their business K9 Connect Utah, is already leaving a meaningful mark on the community.

A Lifetime of Experience Shared with Grantsville

After settling into Grantsville two years ago, Rossi and her husband officially launched their training business at the beginning of this year.

“We have been dog trainers for a long time. I’ve done it now for more than 25 years. My husband has done it for 35 years. We also train our own dogs in the Sport of Schutzhund and title our dogs several times a year. We trained dogs in Germany, and we just continued here. Rossi carries multiple certifications and diplomas from different organizations from Germany and the US. We started our business the beginning of this year, after we settled to this beautiful town.”

What motivated them wasn’t just business—it was a clear community need.

“We think it’s necessary to have experienced trainers here in Grantsville because we see how the demand is for dog training; it’s big.”

At the same time, Rossi understands the realities of a small town.

“Our business is working out bonuses and discounts for dog training for our local community. We educate on responsible dog ownership and help to create better bonds and relationships, and offer solutions. We help all breeds and all sizes of dogs learn to behave right with results that last a lifetime.”

For Rossi, the goal is simple: well-behaved and better-balanced dogs and happier homes.

Training Built on Understanding, Not Shortcuts

What truly sets Rossi apart is her philosophy.

For us, we love training dogs. We are good dog whisperers. We speak their language.

She emphasizes that real training goes far beyond basic commands.

“We make the relationship between you and your dog a joyful and fulfilling one, with our system, you will easily learn to make Life with your dog joyful again. That customized approach is central to their program.

“It’s unique because we understand the dog language, and we have a system. For us, it’s important to have a good relationship, a good bond with the dog, and clear communication that leads to success.”

That balance—clear boundaries paired with compassion—is where her expertise shines.

“They need clear communication, and that’s what we are very good at.”

Why Grantsville Felt Like Home

Rossi and her husband chose this area intentionally. After living in a more crowded area, the rural lifestyle attracted them.

“We love the little town and small-town ambience. We love it, actually.”

What has kept them in Grantsville is the people. She describes the town as something truly special.

What I enjoy is a very kind and helpful community. Very helpful. This is way more community. A good, really good functioning community. That’s what I like.

Navigating Challenges with Compassion

Running a business in a small community comes with its own challenges. “The challenges are definitely that even with people that are needing your business, they cannot afford it. You have to make some sacrifices.”

Rossi and her husband meet these challenges by building genuine, trusting relationships.

“We also love the relationship with our clients. Flexibility and understanding go both ways.”

Programs Designed for Real Life

Most clients begin with one-on-one training, which she considers the “most efficient” option.

Rossi offers a monthly package designed to address fundamental challenges. “Four sessions will not fix your problem, but you will see a change in your dog’s behavior and a progress in your trust and relationship with your dog.”

The owner and dog can customize their program. The impact, however, can be life-changing.

Dogs are different. Humans are different. It will be life-changing because we teach you our system.

Group classes provide another layer of support and connection. “Dogs need to be neutral when meeting other people and dogs. That is what we are working on mainly in the group class. Also, it’s great that people can talk to each other and see the progress of other dogs that are in the group. It’s a very nice dynamic.”

Giving Back Where It Matters Most

The most powerful impact Rossi has is quiet, behind the scenes. She regularly donates her time to help dogs in need. “I offer one, two, three training sessions for free to help get dogs adopted.”

We work hand in hand with the Grantsville Police Department and Animal Control, and volunteer our time to help.

“And sometimes people feel better if they know, we get this new shelter dog and we get free training sessions from experienced trainers.”

A Business Built on Support

Rossi Forman’s work goes far beyond obedience training. It strengthens the bond and trust between people and their dogs, supports responsible pet ownership, and helps build more confident dog owners throughout the Grantsville community.

Her impact is felt not just in well-trained dogs, but in happier homes where owners can truly enjoy life with their pets. Best of all, she and her husband can live in a small-town they love and support their community with their experience and knowledge.
